Has anyone had dental implants or implant dentures at a dental school? What is the cost?

I'm wondering what kinds of fee's are involved & exactly what the savings is if a person were to choose to go to a dental school to have the work done, VS just going to a dentist who has his own practice. Can anyone give me a breakdown of the fee's (all of them for every procedure or a fee schedule copy) so I can get an idea? (in Southern Cali. would be great)
