Would you keep or sell this horse?

My friend is so confused on what to do about her horse and she wants some opinions and I don't know what to tell her.She bought a gaming mare after her old mare suddenly ped away. Her new one,Annie, was on pasture for a year because according to her old owner she wasn't showing her last year. When she went and looked at her she rode her and got her vetted. The day she brought her home she started limping and she thought it was because her hooves were trimmed so short. Then three of her hooves started growing but her left front wasn't.The vet came out did an ultrasound on her leg and it turns out she had an old injury that never healed right due to lack of vet care. Now my friend asked Annie's old owner if she had any previous injuries and the woman told her no.It turns out the vet has proof of the old injury and it was the year Annie was on pasture. Now Annie limps constantly unless on bute and will never be used again a riding horse except for real light work.Annie's problem will eventually turn into navicular.Annie has great bloodlines and near perfect conformation so she could be used for breeding or just a pasture pal but my friend wants a horse she can show on and ride. She can't afford to keep two horses but she really feels bad for Annie so she doesn't know what to do.
