Somebody please help?

I had an amniocentesis done yesterday morning to check for lung maturity and im 37 weeks pregnant. I hear about women going into labor a few days after an amnio and i was wondering what caused it. Also, I was wondering if it was ok to go walking and doing strenuous activities today or if that would hurt something or cause me to go into labor. If this helps, im still closed and thick.
