Can anyone name some fast growing trees or shrubs?

I want to block out my frequently partying neighbours who are always looking over the fence. I have planted some pittosporon and another shrub and they have been pruned, fertilised and I water them every day. how long will they take to reach around 2m from 50cm? And can you suggest something that grows more quickly?
